Christ demonstrated a genuine personal interest to the men, women, boys and girls that He came into contact with. Initial exposure of anyone to Christ or the Advent Message may create a desire in these persons to know more about Him, God’s Word or the Adventist faith. Following Christ’s lead the Hamilton SDA Church Interest Coordinator in partnership with the Personal Ministries Department are tasked to follow up with and show an interest in such persons. Connecting with and extending friendship to those who are inquiring of Christ, the Hamilton Interest Coordinator plays a key role in preparing men, women, boys and girls for the kingdom.
Role of the Interest Coordinator
The role of the Interest Coordinator is to keep an organized list of all interests received by the church. Assisting the pastor and chairperson of the Personal Ministries Council in enlisting and recruiting qualified members for follow-up service. Presenting to the board a monthly report on the number of interests received and followed up. When an interest is sufficiently developed, it should be shared with the pastor.
